ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Another trans "s" light

    Hello all,
I am pleased to be a part of this awesome site. Searched around and
this one surpasses the others with ease. Anyway, s light came on and is solid. Pulled the 2 pin connector, installed paperclip, turned the key to the 2nd position and watched for blinks of the cel and the s light. Both solid and no blinking.Pulled the tcm and had a capacitor leaking and a resistor fried. Had it repaired and i'm about to install but I first need to know is there anything I need to do before I install. Had knee surgery, now I have a little time to dig into my newly owned Honda. Thanks for any responses. They are and will be greatly appreciated. Please excuse the long post.

Nope your good. Disconnect the battery plug it in and fire it up, should work fine.

I was really prepared to give the usual "read the thread marked 'READ HERE FIRST'"... I'm pleased to see that you actually did!

Yes, if everything was repaired properly, just install it. It's been disconnected from the power source long enough that it should have cleared any saved codes. Any new codes given should be legitimate, or an indication that the repair wasn't done correctly.

          Another trans "s" light

Hey guys, it's me again. Connected my tcm today and it started right up and ran fine for about 15 mins then the s light started clicking on and off. Staying on for about 5 mins and off for around the same. While the light was on I put the paperclip in the 2 pin connector(after I shut the engine off). Just before I did this I switched the car to the 2nd position to see if the s light was still on, it was. I proceeded and the cel and the s light was solid w/no blinks. Am I doing something wrong???
