ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Of course Prelude blades aren't 4x100... that's why they fit your 4x114.3 car! Any other lug pattern wouldn't fit. If the techs are suggesting that the lug pattern is the reason for the camber... they shouldn't have their jobs.

I have one close friend running Prelude blades with H&R Sport springs and KYB AGX. No issues since 2005. Hell, he might be on the same tires since 2005.
I have one close friend running Prelude SE wheels with H&R Race springs and Koni Yellows. No issues for the past 2 years.
I personally have Prelude SI "fanblades" on Neuspeed Sport springs and Koni Yellows. Also no issues (though I'm not driving the car at the moment.)

The wheels are not the problem.

Has your engine been swapped? Or has someone converted the car from automatic to manual?
If either (or both) of those things have been done incorrectly, that would cause the axle strain. Not the camber, though.

It's so hard to get your post count up around here cuz our cb veterans are on top of it before I can even think of a reply. lmfao

Everything that deev said i agree with 100% I am not sure what Honda dealer you work at, but your Service Manager should really take a look at how qualified his techs are.. Cuz if they don't know the difference between accords and civic or even do a basic steering a suspension evaluation. They shouldn't be working for Honda, they make too much money to suggest such stupidity.

I'd like to see some pics of your current suspension, if your on lowering springs a simple camber kit will fix your issues.. I don't get why anyone would wanna go back to the stock monster truck suspension, but to each their own I suppose.

I thought I was the only one who caught that.. I wanna see pics god damn it..

Your front end being lowered but being on stock suspension makes no sense. If your on stock struts and what looks like stock springs you could be riding on cut springs. They're usually pretty obvious as in the strut and spring will decompress all the way if load is off the strut. The noise your describing to me sounds like a wheel beaing though, If I were you I'd jack up the front end and shake down the wheels. An easy way to do this is to Grab the Tire by the tread at 9o'clock and 3o'clock shake side to side if there is any play something may be broken/worn requiring replacement. Aswelll as 12o'clock and 6o'clock
shake up and down any play that can be easily felt is BAD! if you have play a 12 and 6 you have a bad wheel bearing or upper/lower ball joint maybe even other parts that maybe worn/broken.

I hope I have helped! Some pics would help us out greatly, most experienced guys can tell whats causing bad tire wear by simply looking at the tire.
Thats my fault and a spelling error. i have stock suspension in the rear and it is lowered in the front.

              update

The reason i have not posted pics is because my drive way i am not able to get up do to excessive draging and scraping trying to revearse and go in forwards at an angle. My other house is a condo and its parked outside and right now it is 30 degrees and theres ice and snow on the ground so i will try and get pics up as soon as possible.

Did someone swap your engine or transmission in the past? Or has it been converted from automatic to manual?

I do not believe so. But its possible i will ask the recent owners. i know the last two people who have owned it and they are the only people that would know or would have really done that kind of thing to it. but from my knowledge i do not believe so.

Might be a long shot, but on your gauge cluster to you have the P/N/R/D on them?

Also, I might be wrong with CBs, but I remember with my old EG if there was a Auto to Manual swap they had to cut where the shifter is placed. You would be able to see it if you took off the center console.

Another thing to check on the engine is what engine it is. You can do this by looking at the front of the engine. It is below the Left side of the Head about halfway down the block. Typically you would see F22 or H22 or whatever engine you have in there. That could help you figure out if the engine was indeed swapped or not.

Just to the left of that Engine Block code, there should be a label on your transmission to tell you the type of tranny you have. I would not know what tranny you would be running or the code, but as an example I have M2B4 on my tranny as a code.

I know this doesn't have much to do with your camber issue, but with you being unsure about the history of the car this might help you out on your way to get another CB back on the road healthy

                      update:

so now i have stock struts and springs on the front. its sits much better but i still have a lsight camber issue. its not nearly as bad as it was being at 5.02 or close to it on both sides. Now it is much lower almost to factory spec. Something that you guys might be able to help me with is the water temp sensor. when i go the parts store and have them pull it the thread portion is very skinny diamater wise and the one i have on there is much larger diameter wise. Could this be a thermostat housing off of another car?

First there is the water temp sender, which has the small fine thread and single wire. This one controls the temperature gauge in the cluster and is located on the passenger side of the head.

Then there are water temp switches A and B. These are the larger ones with 2 pin plug.

Switch A is in the thermostat housing and activates above 194°f, this turns on the radiator fans.

Switch B is on the passenger side of the head or in the water neck connected to the head. This switch activates at 225°f. This is the one that turns on the fans when the car is off.

Which one do you need exactly?

                        91 Prelude 4WS ALB Build
You can't rationalize cars like these. They're not something you buy with your head, you buy them with your heart because you love them, and who can explain love?

i found my problem. it was just the small coolant temp sensor next to the single pronged plug in on the passenger side of the head. shes running good! now onto cosmetics!
