ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    front strut bar

would i possibly be able to use a strut or sway bar, whichever you wanna call it, on my cb7. i have been doing some searching but i have not found anything saying i could yet nothing saying that i couldn't

A strut bar and anti-sway bar are two different things. The strut bar is a solid bar that connects the tops of the two shock towers to try its best to eliminate body flex. It's rigid and stiffens up the front end of the car. An anti-sway bar connects the two lower control arms and is stiff but not solid. It's designed to resist the flex in the suspension and control the movement of the control arms. Both are designed to make the car handle better but go about it in different ways.

It seems like you've been asking a lot of questions that have easily-found answers since you've been here. Keep in mind that much more is expected of you in the regular section.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

The search function on here leaves a lot to be desired.

Search using Google. Type in what you are looking for followed by site:cb7tuner.com

Ignorant means "without knowledge". It does not mean "rude" as so many people believe. Those people are, in fact, ignorant.

Also, please learn to use the "edit" button when you want to add something to a post. Don't just make a new post directly underneath. You have 35 posts now, and I'm pretty sure if I went through and merged all your repeat posts you'd still be confined to this section. In fact, you'd have a lot more posts if I hadn't done it a number of times already! I'm going to simply start deleting threads with rapid-fire posts like that.

A simple search for either "strut bar" or "sway bar" would provide a ton of results, even in the crappy search function we have on this forum. Furthermore, a Google search (in general) would have revealed dozens of such products.

I know you're a beginner, but you're asking vague, poorly research question after vague, poorly researched question. Now you've already fumbled yourself out of the Beginner Forums, and it seems to me that you haven't spent much time learning anything at all!

Just to follow my own rules, here are the parts you'll want.
Front strut bar: Neuspeed 4 point. If you want cheaper, Megan Racing makes a quality bar.
                    Rear strut bar: Megan Racing.
                    Lower tie bar: don't bother.
Sway bars: Suspension Techniques or Progress.

i'm mechanically inclined is what it comes down to i'm great with a wrench not technology i know how stuff works i can take cars apart and put them back together as far as interchanging things it's a whole new world to me, i've converted my front doors to power, pulled my motor out myself retimed it, first time on f series, by myself and it's spot on.
people have skills in a variety of ways mine happens to be hands on with cars not computers

and thank you i will remember to use the edit from now on, i honestly didn't even think to do that before it does keep the threads cleaner

I'm not asking you to be a computer whiz. I'm asking you to think before you type.
If you want to be a part of this community, you will be expected to act accordingly. It is my job to ensure people do that.
If you don't know how something works, I will be glad to help you. The rest is simply being polite, thinking a little big, and not being lazy. Your threads thus far have shown nothing other than the fact that you haven't taken a few minutes to try to answer your own questions before asking them.

You've gotten yourself out of the beginner forums now. If you seem lazy in the rest of the site, you WILL be ripped apart by the very people you want to help you (and those people will be the ones that CAN help you.)
We help those who help themselves.

I do not understand the question at hand. For someone mechanically inclined you should have known the difference between a strut bar and sway bar.

I've never had an issue with the search feature. Hell even on 6thGC which brings up everything under the sun i find what i need. I think the problem lies more with the title descriptions most are very vague.
