ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Really bad wheel bearing

My front passenger wheel bearing is pretty bad, I jacked the car up to find I can move the wheel up and down, left to right, and all other directions. The wheel moved about a quarter of an inch each way! I have not driven the car since. So my question to you all is what wheel bearing brand is the best for our cars as I've read some brands don't last very long. And should I just buy bearings? or a hub and bearing combo? I have search for this on the site already and didn't find the answer I was looking for.

Buying directly from Honda would be your best bet. www.hondaautomotiveparts.com is a good source. The brand I'm seeing on there is NTN, for about $62.

I also use timken. And torque to 140ft lbs. haven't had any problems in a year. I drive 50 miles a day five days a week.

Rock Auto has Timken for a little over $31 each, and they are on this site.

Looks like Timken is the winner. Thanks for all the info guys, now to look over how to replace these suckers.

Not sure about your budget, but you might look into the rotor over hub conversion. That will be my next upgrade/repair. Just a suggestion.

ROH is a great option if you change brakes frequently. If you're autocrossing the car, then it's a great idea. Otherwise, if the car isn't driven that hard or often, ROH can be excessive. I've considered it myself, but my CB is my third car, and I rarely drive it anymore. The rotors on there are from 2004! If I'm changing rotors every 10 years, it's a waste of money to do the ROH conversion just to make that once-a-decade endeavor easier on myself.
