ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Need help with Check engine light!

Im getting error codes 4,1,12,43 in my 93 accord. I changed the oem headers to aftermarket ones along with the 02 censor and cleaned out the EGR valve. Yet the light still comes on, anyone know what to do?

With that many codes, it MAY be a failing ECU. If you have access to another ECU, give that a shot.

What o2 sensor did you install? Bosch sensors are commonly sold at most stores, and the NEVER work properly.

Also, just because... you only have one header. Not "headers".

Are you saying Bosh O2 sensors are not recommended on these cars?

I'm saying they don't work... so yes, I would say parts that don't work are not recommended.

I would write down all your codes and reset the ecu by pulling your backup/radio fuse for about 10-15 seconds.

Take it for a short test drive at low rpm and high rpm (to do a vibration check) and see what codes you tripped.

Then start buying parts from there.

In my old car the knock sensors would trip the cel at high loads.

It would turn off and disappear once the car is restarted.

Depending on the order you went about your project, you could have caused those CEL's and as someone said, clear them by pulling 7.5amp radio backup fuse located in underhood fuse box near passenger shock tower area. Then, go for a drive and see if any CEL's persist.

FYI, not sure how you went about the EGR repair, but you have to keep certain components electronically connected not to trip CEL's. Not sure if you tried to do some EGR block-off project or whatnot.

Sidenote: Stick to Honda OEM oxygen sensors or NTK brand.
