ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Seat belt help?

I have automatic seat belts on my 91 that don't work. they don't move so i basically have to strap it over the shoulder every time. I was wondering if the lifetime warranty would fix this issue or if it is possible for me to switch it to a regular seatbelt system?

The retracking sensor went out ot your seat belt brain fried or is missing.

You can replace the sensor on the retracking system, to do so you need to remove the A pillar panel to gain access to the to the retrack sensor which is at the base of it towards the bottom of the front windsheild.

To remove the track its 4 or 5 10mm gold bolts. The sensor is on the bottom. I believe its a small bolt or screw.

Hope this helps, or you can see if honda will repair it for free

I had the same problem for a few days but it turned out to be a blown fuse. Its worth a quick check

Check your fuses. Don't remember exactly which one controls the belts, but there's a fuse panel behind a cover near your left foot and next to the dead pedal. There's also the fuse box in the engine bay behind the passenger strut tower.

Is the seat belt light on? Does it ever come on, and does the seat belt warning chime sound when the key is turned to the ON position?

Did your auto seat belts ever work since you got the car? if not, someone might have removed the seat belt module and you'll have to get a new one.

Nope. Never worked for previous owner either (my dad's cousin owned the car before I did)

But where is this module located?

From what I see. Your powered belt control module is missing.

It is hidden underneath the passenger seat and bolted down onto the floorpan by 1 10mm bolt.

From the looks of things, your module is missing. This is a tell tale sign of someone tampering with your safety system.

Honda will not replace your safety restraints if there are signs of tamper.

They cannot prove you did not remove your safety restraint system module, so for a dealership to save them sometime they will deny your claim or charge you.

You will pretty much have to put up quite a fight for the free warranty.

Ontop of the missing module, it tells me someone either was fed up with the system and disabled it by removing the srs module or never got around to replacing it.

I would find a JY replacement and start from there.

Junkyard here only has two cars like this and they are both completely stripped already

All I saw were regular seatbelts And I was wondering if it would be possible for me to convert it?

I had the auto belts on the '90 LX I used to have. The only thing i didn't like is that most people with those don't ever buckle the lap belt which leaves you in a dangerous situation. It was good fun watching passengers try to unbuckle before they open the door, give up and pull the belt over their head, then open the door and get attacked from behind by my belt.
