ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Driverside power window problem

My driverside window is broken. When i hit the switch down or up it makes a constant buzzing as long as im holding the switch down or up. Im not familiar with windows at all. I know theyre a pain to work on cause of lack of space and that keeps me away from them. But the driverside is important for drive thrus and tolls also i did an ac delete so imma need it this summer forsure. The windows not a total loss right now, if i hold the switch down and push down on the window itself itll go almost all the way down same thing to pull it up. Anyone have any clue what could be malfunctioning in my window. Any feedbacks greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like the motor for that window died. Forcing the window down probably isn't helping as well.
I've never replaced the motor, but I hung out on the couch once while a friend replaced one in his truck and it didn't take long.

    RIP my last two CB7s.

Probably carbon build up in the motor. It's not hard to clean or replace but you still have to take the regulator out. It's a couple of bolts and wiggling involved but it's not difficult at all.

Just get a new regulator and motor, you can find them pretty cheap on ebay.

And while you got the window out make sure to lube the run channels with shinestu grease

had to replace my regulator 3 days ago. easy scale 1.7/10.
a screw in the exit handle.
undo the exit handle rod and wire clip(if u have power locks).
a screw in the bottom left above door light(might have a cap).
a screw in the entry handle.
a small plug on top right, pops out.
get a butter knife or a solid this piece of plastic,
jam it in between the door and pop that door panel off.
undo the wire clips, should be 5 total w/ the exit handle(if u have power locks).
only need a 10mm socket or wrench if no socket but harder.
2 bolts on the window attached to the regulator slide.
6 bolts for the regulator itself.
inspect glass slides and clean out debris if any.

My 92 EX 5 door driver window worked much like yours. I purchased a plastic gear from ebay for $12.00 delivered and new gear fit and worked perfect. I also put in new motor brushes while I had it apart and cleaned up the channel for less friction. Helps to pay attention when taking it apart.
