ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    My H22 swap problem child

Well guys in new to the Honda scene as far as performance and swaps. So i purchased a 1990 cb7 and was forced to swap a new motor because the old f22a4 went bad. The motor is in the car and wiring is done but when i triedto start the vehicle it wouldn't start. Chuckle for a.second but that was it. All of the grounds are attached. I'm getting fuel because the jdm injectors were clogged.so iaam forced to use the f22a4 injectors. The o need lyricsway I can get the motor to rrun for longer that 2-3 seconds is to unplug the iacv and intake air temp sensors and switch those connectors. I have added a connection to the map. Sensor so that I can use the h22 one and 8 have a Mitchell book with the wiring diagram with colors. When the motor is running for those 2-3 seconds the idle jumps to 2000-3000 then back to like 1500, and at the same time I am trying to barely crack the throttle and this automatically kills the motor. What have idone wrong. Can ssomeone please explain and help me.

OK so with the Mitchell manual it states that the connector that goes to the iacv has both a yellow-black wire and a black-blue wire so I do have it wired correctly. I am going to block off the egr to start and swap over my old dizzy. Maybe this will help

You've picked a great platform to start with if you're new to Honda, good job!

So let's think about this before you start shooting in the dark.

      Car starts, then dies.
Runs for a bit unless the IACV and IAT wires are switched.
      Dies when throttle is opened.

So it sounds like a wiring problem still. Blocking off the egr is a band-aid thing, unless you just want to block it.

      TPS wiring good and adjusted?

There is another wiring diagram in the Technical section of the forum.

        The H22 fuel injectors deliver 340 cc/min.

        The F22 fuel injectors deliver 240 cc/min.

The H22 ECU is programmed for the H22 fuel injectors. Which means he's trying to start up with about a 20:1 air/fuel ratio. With a cold engine. There is no way this thing is going to run.

        Might try the F22 ECU.

Yes the tps Iis good and adjusted. I agree it still sounds like a wiring problem. So I'm going to go back over the wiring and insure that it is correct. I have a Mitchellmmanual with a wiring diagram with wire colors if anyone needs it. Just let me know

OK the ecu is stock for a f22a4 along with the injectors for the same motor because the injectors that came with the jdm h22 were clogged. So if i have a friend that is bringing me a p28 that's been sockets but needs a chip with a base map where can i get one?
