ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

90 accord pgm Fi fuse keeps blowing

Hello all 1990 honda accord ex 5spd jdm f22a swap on a pt6

My fuse 2(pgm fi, eld) on the under dash fuse box keeps blowing with ignition in on ll. Was driving to work in the morning and car cut off in gear. Tried to start it back up and no go. Has a solid cel even when jumping the blue connector. No recent work has been done in 6-8 months other then exhaust and suspension. Nothing electrical

    -replaced main relay
-removed all fuses not required to start and run the car
    - I've tried replacing the ecu with 3 extra ones I have and still blows fuse
-fuse still blows with main relay unplugged
    -replaced under hood fuse box
-fuse blows only when connecting white connector to under hood fuse box. The second to last plug on the relay side of the fuse box.
-cruise control switch gives power to ignition like it's in the on ll position. Before the fuse started blowing I had an issue with car staying running without keys. Found out cruise control button could turn the ignition on and off. Never figured this out

Any suggestions on where to look next for the short are greatly appreciated

Norcross? You aren't too far from me. I'm in Tucker, and I'm pretty good with electrical

    Fuse number 2 Dash box:
SRS control unit, you have a 90 so you're excluded.
Charge indicator in the instrument cluster
    A/T control unit
    Main Relay
    Engine mount control unit
    Fan Timer unit

To blow a 15A fuse, you definitely have a short to ground somewhere between those aforementioned units.

Hell ya I used to live in tucker. Currently located in duluth right off pleasant hill. My father in law let me borrow is old 89 325i
Until I buy my prelude this weekend. Gives me plenty of time to figure out what's going on

Ok so I have a 5spd so like you said srs is not there. At unit is not there. And I'm guessing engine control mount I'd not there also. So that leaves me with charge indicator (battery light?), main relay wires or fan timer(somewhere behind passenger dash like my old cd?)

The fan timer is by the main relay, in the fuster cluck of wires under the dash.

I re-read the first post and it only happens in Ignition II, or when the car is 'on.'

Sounds like the previous owner tried to wire in a kill switch into the cruise control. I hope he didn't twist and tape wires together and one just happen to fall out. And if this was the case, it was probably spliced from the main relay, through the CC switch. It would also explain your car cutting off... Definitely check the wiring going to the main relay.

Second to last harness on the under hood fuse box. The one right next to the large gauge wires?

This car was a mess when I bought it. 3 years ago for 900 lol. Ok cool ill be checking under the dash today when I get off work. As far as the fuse box connectors go I can't remember but I think it is next to the larger gauge connector. I know on the side it's on the outside plug to the left of it only has 2 wires
