ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

When was your last tune up? I'd check the spark plugs for oil first if you can. Also, how is your idle is it low? Maybe raising the idle up a bit could help.

The valve cover gasket and spark plug o rings need done and it idles when you have been driving for awhile at 200-400 rpms and how do you raise the idle?

Does this symptom happen only upon cold start up in the morning (all air temps) or even when the car is warmed up? Obviously there are a hundred things is could be but it helps to know when it is occurring. I had this issue upon cold starts occasionally. Are you sure your clutch pedal travel is set properly? How much time are you willing to invest to fix it? It could take a long time to figure it out.

I would do a full tune up - and - check your oil pressure, engine compression, fuel pressure, coolant pressure, battery, alternator, check all vacuum lines for leaks, bleed the coolant, set ignition timing, set base idle, clean out all passages in the intake manifold and throttle body, make sure your throttle cable is not too tight, check resistance on all fuel, air, coolant related sensors, check O2 sensor, pull all your injectors, clean and rebuild them, clean EGR passages and EGR valve, clean IACV, FITV and air boost valve.

My recommendation is to start with the bolded items and get a service manual.

there is an idle screw at the front of the intake plenum to raise the idle, near the air intake tubing.

A fresh tune up would be a good idea. Plugs wires cap and rotor. Id also ohm test your coil.
