ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    h22a4 high impedance injectors

    Hi all,

So I've been having a fantastic time trying to run down some of the issues with my cb.

It is swapped with the h22a4 motor.

Originally, hmotorsonline had shipped the motor with an ECU that was not a p13. This was a while ago and I cannot remember what the ECU number was now. At the time, it ran the car just fine it just wouldnt hit VTEC despite being wired for it properly. I took it to a performance shop, and had them place an h22 base map on a p05 ECU. This ran the car great with VTEC and no CEL's.

A little while after I began having problems with the fuel relay within the main relay not clicking like it should, and narrowed it down to an ECU issue.

The base mapped p05 has since been replaced with a p13 ECU. The issue Im having right now is the motor is only running on two cylinders. When trying to track down the issue, I have verified spark and fuel to the rail. When I was making sure the injectors were giving me proper resistance, I realized they are high impedance injectors.

My question is this - since these are high impedance injectors, shouldnt I be bypassing the resistor box? Could this be my issue right now? At this point Im kind of confused at what else it could be.

    Thanks for any input!

If you are using the high impedance injectors from the H22A4, then yes, the resistor box should be bypassed. The other option is to get some injectors from an OBD1 H22A1.

Electrical things are not my strong point, but I believe running the H22A4 injectors with the resistor box may have caused damage to the injectors. Someone with more knowledge in that area should be able to explain further, or correct me where I'm wrong!

To answer the injector question. Yes you should have removed the injector box and made a pigtail to bypass it.

The P13 is set to run the 345 Obd1 injectors. Even bypassing the injector box it will not run to the fullest.

If you had a obd2 H22 you could have other troubles. Who did your swap? Is the distributor OBD1 or 2.

I swapped the motor following the CB7 Swap FAQ located here: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=5423

The distributor has the internal coil, and I spliced together the two wires needed to compensate for this. It appears now the one thing I overlooked was the injectors.

U need to find h22 obd1 injectors. As for the ones I. The car they are now toast. Toss them. For the time being if u need your car asap use any stock obd1 f22 injectors. It will run motor fine but do not go past 4k or heavy throttle. This will limp you around for time being.
