ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I had a similar problem when I dropped in my new motor. Turned out to be the distributor. It would start, run for a few seconds and die. Then it wouldn't fire up again for a few minutes, then it would start up and die again. I have no idea what that whining noise is though...

Could it be because of this: My new dizzy is a 1 plug 8 pin connector, thats it. My old one had a 8 pin connector along with a 2 ping connector, so im short 2 wires, but I do have a blue wire(tach wire) That has no plug at all so im really short 1 wire than what i was before with my f22? Could that be a problem, i honestly cant even find that 2 pin female connector anywhere?

I also have a p28 chipped ecu if that matters?

All of those items could be part of the problem. I used the H22A1 distributor and spliced in the VTEC wire. So I had both connectors. And I am running a P13.

Is this a new swap that has not run previously? Or has it run before and won't now? If it has not run previously, there could be a number of issues. With mine, the swap was completed and ran for a few years. I replaced the engine (spun bearing) with a freshly rebuilt engine when I had my problem.

Fix your wiring issues and get a P13 first. Once it runs with the P13, then you can swap to a properly tuned P28, although you probably don't need it unless you have some major mods on your H22.

p28 with this motor ran before so there is something to do with the wiring, im not sure. Ill find a p13 but i still dont think thats the issue

The ECU is probably not the issue, but you need to minimize the variables. Even if the motor ran with the ECU, it sounds like it hasn't run in your car. I would definitely verify the wiring.

Glad you fixed it! So the whine was the intake sucking in air.
