ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Jdm f23 tubular exhaust manifold on 91 cb???

Its been a while since i been here.
been very busy on my 91 lx cb.so,
Today i come across a much needed oil pan.also came
Across a tubular style exhaust manifold 4-2-1
WILL THIS WORK ON AN OEM CB SET-UP?
if not what is needed for it to work thanks
Going to snap some pics now.
I will try from my phone. Like always
Thanks in advance for all your feed back.
The following is what ive done since ,
    Resurrecting her. In april2015.

It won't work at all unless you:

    1) Swap in an F22B1/2/6 or F23A1/4/5/7 head (or their JDM equivalent)
    2) Swap in one of the aforementioned engines
    3) Reflange the header

It's a tubular header. They're like $60 brand new on eBay.

Option #3 wouldn't really even work, since the pipes aren't even in the correct location. If you reflange the header, the pipes would be offset. You'd need to weld elbows in to change the pipe inlet location.

This is one of those things that could've been answered simply by looking at the parts in question.

F23 (and all of the other engines Jarrett mentioned)

      F22A

Be sure you get one with an o2 sensor hole in the correct location.

You could heat and move the pipes, but I chose not to explain because the overall point I wanted to make was that it wasn't an effective option for a header.

Ah yes, I hadn't considered that. I wonder how long the average cheapie header would last with such abuse!

The f22a4 are OEM tubular is you want a slightly better flow that the restrictive ones you got other than that eBay or DC headers. I happen to have a DC but will require welding a new flange to where it bolts into flex pipe or cat converter. Plus I'm a noon here so can't sell it darn
