ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Clerafication on rebuild for f22b dohc non vtec

Ok this motor has alot of confusion and I have a f22b dohc in a 93 with bad valves. From research I have found h23 valves will fit. Most people are saying to use f22b sohc headgasket but between that and f22a sohc gasket it looks closer so I will be using it I have a gsr timing belt and f22a intake gasket this is a set in stone plane I already have parts order and will be putting together. I will put my problems up as I go. This might be so if so I apologize in advance

The F22B DOHC is pretty neat head. I did a swap in my 92 EX (F22A6 -> F22B DOHC) where it was just the head (did it just because I wanted to mess with my car). Never had any issues. I'm sure you have figured out that it's pretty close to an H23, not identical but close enough. The head swap alone got me +20hp to the wheels on the dyno (not the "butt" dyno an actual one lol). As far as the head gasket I used was an F22A, literally went online and purchased one for my specific car. Fit like a champ

The head swap alone shouldn't have given you 20whp. The F22B has 20 crank horsepower more than the F22A6, and a higher compression ratio. It shouldn't have even given you the full 20 crank hp!

Anyway, Onalimbcb7, do a search for the proper part numbers for the F22B parts. They are readily available overseas. You can cross-reference those numbers with parts available in the US, and anything that's F22B-specific you can order. That would be the best way to go about it.

What car has the f22 DOHC? Also what are some power gains with it swapped?

(Ignore the F20A specs. They're wrong.)

Nice, seems like a fairly simple way to gain 20 whp,
