ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Rear Windows won't roll down

I tried searching on here before posting this but my phone wont work with the search function on here so sorry if this has been answered already.

I dont know anything about how to diagnose these and i searched but always seem to find ppl working on the front driver side. They are stuck all the way up (Thank god for that at least) but when i try to roll them down i just hear like a buzzing noise like its trying to do it but whatever it is keeps it from going down. Would that be the regulator or motor? Or how can i diagnose this? Thanks in advance.

The best way to diagnose this is to get your hands dirty.
Take off the door panel, remove the regulator and test it by applying battery power directly to the motor. Observe what happens. If anything looks weird, you can replace it. Or at this point, you could replace it anyway since the panel is off.

Check your window run channel for deformation, debris, sticky stuff (ewww), or lack of lubrication.

from working at LKQ almost 2 years you see all kinds of crazy stuff. Try 3 Cadillac CTS's with rear regulators that were junk and someone jammed the window up with a piece of 2x4 or screwed a wooden block under the window all the way up. Get that door panel off and see what you're working with.
I don't jerry-rig, i make custom parts with alternative materials.

I bet it's the rear motors if the front two roll down. Window switches share a common ground, so if the front work, that's fine.

Put 12v to the rear motors and see if it works. If not, R&R.
