ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Delta cams???

So I have been doing some reading up on doing a regrind of my camshaft. My only problems with it that hopefully someone here can help me with are as follows.
    1. Do I need to upgrade anything else if I do this job?
    2. Will reliability/driveability of the car diminish
    3. What kind of power gains can be expected by just replacing the cam
    4. Is it better to go with an a1 cam or an a6?

I really want to do it if the power gains will be worth it. Between the cam and switching to an a6 or h23 intake /exhaust manifold, I should be able to see some big gains?

Sorry for not searching if this has been covered but I am sick as shit, and honestly I just didnt have the patience.
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.

I bet I'm sicker right now.

    1. Depends on how aggressive. For the normal 272 delta grind, nothing else HAS to be upgraded.
    2. No. It will require fine tuning though
    3. Depends on your other mods. Just cam, you'll see around 10whp+
    4.a6 cam
    Shift_BOOST

    BOOM!

I am planning on going "normal" 272
I have some other basic bolt ons
I will have to redo the valve lash specs?
My other thought was finding an f22b dohc and having both cams reground to the 272 spec.
That should bump that motor quite a bit without me worrying of blowing a turbo or some nightmare like that.

Is it a good idea to get some sort of ecu tuning with a regrind and i/h/e?
