ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

if it's making a clicking sound while turning i would definetly say its your cv joints. as far as the buzzing while going straight i have no clue. maybe someone else can chime in with some help.

First of all, where do you think these sounds are coming from? A constant clicking sound, depending on your speed when turning, coming from the front close to the tires indicates a worn cv-joint. But you say you hear a clunk?? could be suspension related maybe?

And the buzzing sound... I have no idea.

I had the same thing. Its something to do with the axle shaft. I don t know exactly but I replaced it and no more clickin.
No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.

Crawl under the car and look at the boots of the cv shafts if they are busted open and then you will see your problem.

like BRUNO said......check the cv boots, but also look at your tie rods. Grab the tire and try to rotate it, if it feels loose, it could be your tire rod. the cluck could also be the steering gear. As far as the buzzing....maybe the wheel bearing? not too sure on that since i haven't had that go yet. good luck finding the problem.

Well I agree with the clunking might be the cv boot; as for the buzzing maybe a motor mount?

Loud Clunk might mean a rear ball joint.

My car had that sound last year. I thought it was the CV joints and replaced them. Then the next day my rear left ball joint went and the car was on the ground. Get all your ball joints checked.

The buzzing could easily be your tires. Recently, I had a loud buzzing sound when I was driving. Sounded like it was the CV joints again. However, I replaced my old Goodyear Hp's tires with Bridgestone Potenza G009's, and my car is now really quiet. No buzzing or grumbling sounds.
