ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Must Be Nice...

Must be nice to live somewhere that people don't like to steal your car while it's running. Here in Sacramento, there are groups of guys that drive aropund looking for people who are warming up their car and jack it. Happens ALL the time and tons of people are on the news every night talking about how it's such a HUGE problem.

That's horrible. I've actually been letting my car warm up less than I normally do. At least I don't leave it unattended.
I'm working on a curcuit similar to a remote starter without the remote. It would allow you to start the car with out the key (possiblly a couple hidden switches or another key) but shuts down if the brakes are pressed or the e-brake is disengaged, or the oil light comes on...or you could just get a remote starter. I'd like to have a working curcuit by next winter.

Hot days? just drive off... the oil is warm enough

actually..its better if u DONT blast the heater..cuz the ore the heater is on..the longer it takes for the motor to warm up...cuz if you think abt it where is the heat in ur car coming from..the engine's heat..now if u keep stealing its heat to try and heat up the cabin, then how do u expect the engine itself to get warmed up...it easier and MUCH better to just start it and let it run W/O heater..altho turning on ur rear defrost wud be good..then when u have ur cup of coffee or tea and come back..just blast ur heater and guaranteed that car will be blazing hot in NO time....for me, its a good thing i work at Best Buy cuz employee discount rocks..got a remote starter installed and i dont even have to go to my car to start it..just stand by the window, hit the button and when i get in im ready to go..w/o my remote starter i used to run the car for like 5 min or so, regardless of weather conditions..unless it was extra cold..................btw if your car is ever overheating, best thing to do to just get home or a repair shop, is to blast the heater so u can take the heat out of the engine compartment and help it cool down some..whatever the weather ur gonna have to crack the windows lol... hope this helps
