Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    H22a Oil

    hey guys just did my first oil change since i got the car, used 5w-30 mobil 1 full synth. and now it sounds like one or two of my valves are knocking/tapping. I wasn't told what oil was used before so the first thought I had was to thin of oil. it only happens around 3k rpm. Also, i dun have enough money for another full change so would something like lucas oil stabilizer help? any help is appreciated, thanks.(sorry about the noob question)
    But I'm still payin, so she still a ho. Why don't i just give her the money I was gonna spend on dinner, and that ho can get some groceries

    Your supposed to use reg oil first oil change or you can do two as i did. First one you drive about 500 miles with the normal oil to wash out the engine basically, second you drive around and toss it around a lil. Then i went to synthetic blend for one change then to full synthetic. Throw some reg oil in and see if it gets rid of the knocking. If it sounds like your valves are tapping might need to check your valve adjustment. How loud is it tapping? IF its not that bad then its normal.

      Do you live in a freeizng cold climate?

      Maybe the previous owner used thick oil its whole life and you just pushed out all that thick oil with thin oil.

      But I wouldnt use synthetic on a F22 motor if thats what you have, thats just a waste of money.

            well its never really cold here(NM) and it usually happens after I drive around a bit. it's not horribly loud but it is loud enough to clearly hear it from the inside.

              Might wanna try a valve adjustment and see if that helps. Id also throw some reg oil and see what happens.

                The Honda dealers used 10W30 weight with a total of 5.2-5.4 quarts for my H22 oil changes, so 5W30 might be a bit thinner for the motor, just a thought?
