ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    honda accord turbo

alright guys i need some advice. im getting this turbo of a evolution 8 and im getting the blow out valve the waste gate and the turbo timer and boost control. will i be able to put this turbo on my honda accord 92 ex 2.2. will the engine take the turbo. i heard that the 2nd gen eclipse exhaust manifold will fit my car so i can just bolt it on and slap the turbo on there. is that true. i have a intercooler all ready but i need some opinions. plz help on this one. i want to try to do this right

You are going to need to build the engine too. New pistons, o-rings, port and polished head. I think the eclipse manfold needs redrilling of holes. You could probably get someone to make one for you too.

THe Evolution 8 is running the 16g isnt it? So you might have to find another manifold for a 16g. I dunno but i think i read somewhere that the evolution 8 manifold isnt drillable? I could be wrong but if you can do it sounds good. But as the g-man said get new pistons/rods/rings and such just to be on the safe side depending on mileage and how much psi your going to boost.

You don’t necessarily need to build the engine for boost. Depending on mileage, eight pounds is a reasonable amount of boost on our stock block. I personally would not go above 10psi considering our engines don’t have the strongest internals.

edit* wtf, this thread is almost a exact replica of this one.

16g from a evo 8 is a twin scroll setup. You will need to use the Evo 8 manifold with the turbo, however, i dunno if you can flip the turbo around since the compressor faces the drivers fender vs the 14b/16g(small, big, evo3) which faces the passenger side. You will need to find a way to set the boost lower, stock evos push 19psi

8-10 psi with a good tune is all i would push.

im sure he could get away with clocking the turbo.. so the compressor outlet is facing out and away instead right at the alternator.... also.. he could use a bleeder valve to regulate boost.. or swap the wastegate... which btw.. wouldnt it be internal wastegate on a stock boosted car?? i dont think they came with external.. so he can just get a 8-10psi WG off of a 14b or something..
