ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    looking at h22

ok so i have a 93 with an automatic tranny. i'm really looking for an h22 to put in there and i think i found one. it comes with the engine harness, ecu, auto tranny, and the engine itself from japan with under 40k on it. it's selling for 1525 and i was wondering if that sounded like a good deal and more importantly is what it comes with all that a mechanic would need to get it in there and swap out my f22a6? or are there other major parts because i'm thinking i want to buy it and then my mechanic would install it in about a day. thanx.

Sounds like a good deal to me... You might need new axles, you will DEFINITELY need a new timing belt and tune up stuff, maybe an intake (CAI or SR) and exhaust manifold or header (the downpipe sometimes gets crushed in packing/shipping) and you will probably want to upgrade your exhaust to at least 2.25" if you still have the stock exhaust.

I say go for it! But if your mechanic hasn't doen this particular swap before, count on at least a couple of days to complete the job. And that's if you have ALL the parts you could possibly need at your fingertips. My swap took over a month, but a lot of that was waiting for parts and shop/lift/mechanic time. But I also did the auto to manual swap...

Then CA emissions was a different story, but my situation wasn't normal...

    Good luck! and enjoy!

If your mechanic can do an H22 Swap with an Auto to Manual swap in 1 day....

        I will suck his.............. lol

Took me and my friends 5 days and Im still having problems.

I got my complete swap for $2300 and ended up spending around $2000 more for everything else.

Good luck, feel free to ask me any questions.

i say bugger, do the f20b get the lsd tranny that comes with the f20b ( the accord sir-t ) and then have that put in, you know that it has less mileage and it is farily newer than the h22, you could get a complete swap for about the same price off ebay or if you have connections.

I hope your mechanic knows what to do. Doing it the right way takes more than a day. Jdm motors need severe tune-ups like water pump Timing belt ect.. to be "complete"

I dont think they made an auto tranny with lsd only 5spd (m2b4). With that said I think u should consider either doing the 5 spd swap or sell ur car a buy another 5spd CB7. IMO its a waste to spend all that cash for a swap and its an auto, just my two cents.

EXACTLY. No telling how long those motors have been sitting. I know someone who got excited or was just lazy or something but he decided to swap in a B18C in a civic without doing a timing belt. About a half a mile into the first drive he took he snapped the belt and bent his valves. Not very cool if you just spent the past 2 days installing that motor then you gotta pull the head to replace some stupid shit like that.

Mine has been running fine with the original timing belt and water pump for 3 years now. I'm changing them soon when I install some cams though. Even though I didn't change my stuff, it's still a good idea to do it.

H22A > F20B ... the H is just a more well rounded motor. The F20B was purpose built to compete in a 2.0L race class. The Accord is heavy. I'd rather have a little extra displacement!

Also, beware of good deals on H22s. Some get lucky, some get trash. Know who you're buying from before you send your money. $1500 is good for an H22, bad for a paperweight.

I did the H22 swap with auto to manual conv about 3 years ago. It cost me more than it should have (about 5k), but over all it was well worth it. Change the timing belt and water pump like they said. Then take the car to redline and smile!

deffinatly count on more than one day to have it back to you. that seems sort of cheap for JDM h22 and tranny and ecu... good deal if it works and checks out though. i have an h22a4 in my 92 ex and im close to JR supercharger. h22's are powerhouses in the making, go for the swap. i guarentee you'll be pleased with it
