ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    engine ?'s...

    ok...i have 2 questions....
1-I have a 90 accord EX, and as many of you know it has the f22a4 in it, well i was debating on doing a f22b (jdm) swap into it...is the swap a direct fit?? and also, is this engine better N/A or boosted...
2-I also have a 88 accord LXi, and i have also been debating on doing a b20a 1st gen swap into it...now here is my second question, which swap would be more worth while??? i was thinking the f22a4-f22b would be better, but whats your opinions...
EDIT: also, i am low on funds, so keep that in mind..

Eh, the B20 wasn't a bad engine... But it really is inferior in almost every way to the f20a/bx series.

If you do go the f22a6 route, remember that you don't need to replace the whole engine. The intake manifold is the only thing afaik that differentiates the a6 from the a4.

how much would a f22a6 run for, and is the f22a4 transy compatable to it??

it's the same engine, only the header and intake are different

                Edit: F22a4 and F22a6

                  F22b is roughly $300.ish dollars.

many people tend to turbo it...why? because if it blows up, it's a cheap replacement.

Now the b20a for the Accord is rated @160HP....it's not the same as the b20aX series found in the 3rd gen Prelude. Those are the bastard childs...why? b/c they were first in line for the B series, F1 technology.

IMO, get the f22B...it's rated at 160hp and 140ishtq? --please correct me if im wrong...

good luck, lets us know what you do...

To correct some others the F22A6 differs also in the cam as well. And if you want to broaden the spectrum then all the '92-'93 Accords had an external coil as opposed to an internal coil. The F22A4 header is actually a little better than the A6 header but yes they are still different. Now as far as compatability with the F22B, most external accessories are. Your A4 header is, your intake manifold, the blocks are the same and so on. The distributor won't work though. You need either the distributor that comes with the F22B or use an H series distributor. Hope this helps.
