ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

How hard would it be to remove a motor and install another one Because about 3 days ago my cousin through a rod through his block and i got to install another F22A4 in its place

    Thanks

The swap probably couldn't get much smoother. Just swing by your local auto parts store, grab a Haynes or Chilton manual for the car, and follow the instructions. Unless you're planning to open the block up, there really isn't anything that's going to complicate the process too much. Being your first time though, plan at least two full days for this, in case you run into any problems.

just to clue you in, if anyonetells you to take the motor out without the tranny, dont listen, its easier to do the whole package.

well, that depends on the guy's ability.....if he's a noob to working on cars, he'll spend more time fucking with the axles and shit than he should and it WON'T be easier.......it's less of a headache, but you can loosen the side tranny mount enough to angle the motor and wiggle it out...easier on a lift because you can be under it but i've done it in the driveway too........it's less headache to leave it attached and pull it out, but it's more work......a lot will tell you to pull it through the top and it's easier to come out the bottom
....and on the 7th day, deevergote rested and called his mom.

hanses manual is butter, better yet one of the honda tuning magazines had the removal and install of a f22a and f22B, i think it was jan-apr 05, on of those issues.

go to the honda dealership and request a manual for the accord from that year, if youre lucky they can get you one, its alot more detailed....

anyways, should be a very easy swap, once you get all electrical lines/excess parts off, its pretty much a starightforward plug and play...and if you can, do the transmission with the engine, youll thank yourself later
