ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Toggle Switch

I got a new shift nob for my auto and I need to know how to hook up my sports button with my new toggle switch, there is a green wire and a black wire that is supose to hook up to the sports button. http://www.tradetouch.com/pimages/ts11.jpg but my switch has 3 things to hook wires up to. One Says power another says acc.(accesorie) and the last is a ground. How do I hook up the switch???Thanks!!!

well black is always negative, so hook up the power and negative, and just leave the acc. alone, doesn't sound like it has any use

"Negative Ghost Rider". The switch completes the circuit between the Power and Accessory posts, so they are the ones that need to be connected to the 'Sport' wires. The Negative post is used to complete the circuit for the light in the switch (uses the Power and Negative).

        EDIT:
I'm not sure if the 'Sport' button completes the ground side of the circuit, or the power side. So:
        - If one of the two 'Sport' wires is +12v, then connect it to the Power post, with the other wire on the Accessory post, and then connect the Negative post to -12v ("ground").
        - If one of the two 'Sport' wires is -12v, then connect it to the Power post, with the other wire on the Accessory post, and then connect the Negative post to +12v ("power").

I have the greenv wire hooked up to the power.
The black wire on the accesorie.
And I made a ground wire for the ground.

            Does this sound about right?

if its working, I wouldn't worry about anything, cause if their would've been a problem, it would've happened already

Yeah, that should be good. Like pyro said, if there is a problem with it, it wouldv'e already happened.

The only problem you might have is an un-lit light on the switch. If it's not working, then just hook that ground wire you made up to +12v.
