ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Will F22a6 run properly & efficiently with P39 ECU (JDM f22b VTEC)? Pics inside

The shop has half front of a Japan import 1991 Ex Accord with JDM f22a (no number after the a), I have the p39 ecu in my car, was paired with JDM H23a but it was damaged.
If I get the original ECU that came with the chassis and engine, it'll cost much more, do I need it? Or is the p39 fine from performance and perserving engine health perspective , also from gas mileage perspective.

Another thing the car is rhd and mine is lhd, can i transfer the airbag system and cruise control system? (the half car is complete with bumpers, steering wheel and column and everything)

P39, will it work with f22a6?

It might run but I doubt it will run well. There are many differences between the two engines, the biggest that the H23 is twin-cam and vtec, while the F22 is single cam and non-vtec. If you want an easy boost of power find a computer from a Prelude with the f22a1 engine. Or just find a computer from a similar accord.

h23a isnt vtec. You could simply go to a junkyard and pull a ecu. Or I might have my old pt3 ecu if you are interested. Is your car auto or manual?

P39 is actually the F22B DOHC ECU, to my knowledge. Very similar to the H23A1 (most people have used the H23A1’s P14 ECU to run the F22B… it seems your setup is the opposite.)

The F22A will run well enough on the P39. The ECU doesn’t know or care how many camshafts you have.
It will not be 100% correct, however. The JDM F22A is probably equivalent to the USDM F22A6, so you’d want a PT6 to run it properly.

i wouldn’t mess with the airbag system. Cruise control would probably transfer over just fine.
