Weight ?

I m just baught a complete system, 2 amps, speakers, and subs. It all togheter weighs alot. Will it make my car noticably slower? I m planning on doing a H22 swap, will all that weight take away the benifits of the added power? Thanks

First of all, nice fogs! Second, how big is the box for the subs? At the same time you could always set it up so you could take out the box. I don't think the amps alone would be enough to slow you down that much.

Thanks! I searced everyday for 2 months straight to get those and i so overpaid , paid 270 shipped from ebay from some Jap junkyard. But its all good i use Paypals no interest and payment for 3 months thing . Anyways the subs are 2 Kicker L5s in a Kicker enclosure. It barely fits in the trunk. I hope that helps

Yea, the barely fits in the trunk thing does. If you're gonna run it, any extra weight is bad. I've seen guys strip out seats, carpet, door panels, all sorts of crap to decrease weight. Does your box have connection panel on the outside to connect speaker wire, or does the wire run straight into the box? If it has the panel, just take it out if you're gonna run. Btw that's why my car sits lower in the back. My box barely fits.

You will feel it if its heavy. How much weight you adding. And the H22 will take aways some of it but still your gonna feel it.
