ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Camber Question

I'm looking at installing some springs on my car. I am looking at roughly a 1 3/4 to 2 inch drop. Will I need a camber kit? What is a rule of thumb regarding camber kits? Thanks.

you will not NEED one, but you can run one... install the springs then get it aligned then that will tell you how far your camber/toe is out and thats what kills tires

        Thanks for the link.

Another quick question. Regarding shocks/struts, I am looking at purchasing 2 front + 2 rear KYB shocks. I believe these are required when installing springs. To be dead honest, I don't trust my stock shocks/struts to handle the new load.

Anyways, I have been looking at a few online merchants for the springs/shocks and cannot decide where to purchase the items at. Anyone have any good online places they get their CB7 parts from? I have 1 or 2 aftermarket shops around my local area, but I feel that they may be too expensive. Would only use them for the install.

        Thanks for the info!

you can use ebay but i wouldnt recommend it. all they sell is knock off parts. they say jdm but arent even close to it. like the "ONE PIECE JDM PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS". jdm headlights for cb7's werent projectors. in fact i dont think and jdm headlights were projectors.

so yeah be careful when shoppin on ebay. look into the sellers info, etc.

and just remember. i would rather pay a good price for a part than get cheap parts and end up paying for it again later and even more if it breaks something else. but thats just me.

My JDM headlights have projectors But that's custom...

2" drop or less with stock width tires should be ok with a proper alignment. You'll still get camber wear, but it won't kill your tires insanely fast.

As for struts, it's very wise to replace them. Good going www.shox.com is usually pretty reasonable. KYB GR2s are good for inexpensive shocks. Tokico blues are also good. Koni Yellows are the best, if you can afford them.
