Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    Car Smokes

Hey i put a prelude engine in my 1991 accord and replaced all seals and gaskets, etc. to be sure it wouldnt be leaking. Now when i crank my car up it smokes excessively out of the tail pipe. does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I thought it might have been my plugs so i bought brand new ones and it was ok for a minute or so then it started back. My ignition coil also has gone out and i bought a new one of those and now i think that one has gone out. What could be causing the ignition coil to go bad when its new? and when the car cranks what could be causing it to smoke excessively?

no they looked pretty clean but worn out. my dad thinks it is the valve seals thats causing the smoking. but my dad and i are both stumped on whats causing the ignition coil to go out twice already(the old one and the new one)

id also check the ignition timing. when you put the dizzy in, did you set the crank to tdc? could be timing issue?

also just some advice..if you put in a new /used motor id spend the extra money and pick-up a new dizzy from ebay. it comes with new coil, ignitor, and everything. i bought two off ebay from a guy flying-pat out of plattsburgh, ny.
ive never had a problem with the dizzy. i got oone for my accord and one for the cr-v. its cuz once the oem bearing goes bad you screwed. just my opinion.

and again from your other post..its your ignitor most likely. it can take out a good coil.

btw..look at your dizzy and give me the part number..should be like td-55U number.

                        regards x
