I Picked up a 90 lx accord last week...It had been sitting for a couple of months...Did a little work on it yesterday and got is crank....But Didnt drive it far....What Kind of Precautions should I Take with the Tranny....Its Auto and the car has 185k on it....

well as long as it shifts ok then you shouldnt have any problems.
just dont plan on racing it too much. our slush boxes cant take to much of a beating. lol -
I had a 90 lx about 5 yrs ago..and that car took a beating....It had 278k miles on it when I traded it in...But with this car I dont know if it was babied or driven hard....Cant really tell..INside looks good...only really needs a paint job....I replaced the valve cover gaskett and plugs and wires yesterday...and the damn plugs that were good and the valves only had a small amount of carbon build up..But like I said its got a 185k on the ticker///Comment

true dat. just be sure not try no high rev launches with it. wont work out 2 well with the tranny.
ill be swappin my auto tranny out 4 a h22 auto tranny soon. ill keep my auto. i like it for some reason. lolComment

Yeah Im saving up for the H22....And Like you I want to keep my auto...Most people will probally say were crazy...But I would rather have it in auto...Comment

there u go. im speeding on the highway most of the tim and i dont want 2 be stuck in traffic witha 5spd. 2 much 2 deal wit. ill get my h22 tranny, some nitrous and ill be ok. lolComment

That sounds like a good plan with the Nitrous....Do you know how many people on here have the auto setup with there H22...What H22 would you recomend for the easiest swap in our cars....Comment

to me i go along wit what one of the guys up here says in his sig:
"if you pay $3000 for 75hp you should be shot....tiwce." lmao
my main thing is id rather put that money into getting a nitrous set up and a p&p job done to the head.
if i had a 5spd id spend that money on a turbo kit i can piece together myself and have the same amount if not more hp.
i was thinking about an h22 swap before but then i thought about it this week. i figured your paying the same amount getting the engine, parts, and labor for the swap when i could just get a 5spd cb7 and but a turbo kit on it for a whole lot less.
all i want is about 200whp. i can get that with nitrous. ill be happy. lol
as far as the people up here that have a h22 swap with an auto, im not sure that are many up here. ask h22sparkle. he's a h22 swap guy and he should know all the h22 owners up hereComment
