Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

overheating on turbo's!

    overheating on turbo's!

    i was wondering y im over heating with the turbo's on.....i mean it doesn't over heat when i start it.....but when i start driving it....i end up overheating...and when i start driving it...i mean i really overheat...i mean my temp stat rises up so quickly..can anyone help me here?and when i over heat my car thends to die out or back fire?i have collant line and oil line connecting to the turbo...and a front mount intercoller....fuel and ignition is allready upgraded..

    how many psi, size of intercooler,pipin, spec of set up, radiator?

      make sure theres no coolant leaks and you have coolant in the radiator

        how is the fuel and ignition upgraded? what do you have for engine management?

          you have more than 1 turbo?

          did you bleed your colant lines?

            As mentioned did you bleed the coolant properly and check your levels would be the first thing I would check. T stat ok? but yea check those basic things first.

              im bosting about 8 psi on my turbo's........my intercooler piping is a regular size piping...not shure what size it is.....stock size turbo....with the stock wastegate in it.....

              for my ignition...i got msd sci ignition coil blaster msd distributor cap and wires nology coil amplifire and ngk iridium spark plug........
              for my fuel..i got an aem fuel pressure regulator,aem fuel rail,venom street injectors,walbro fuel pump.....


              how do i bleed the colling system....and yes i got collant on my radiator....

              my front mount intercoller is about 24x12 if im not mistaken.....

                  You need a chipped ECU to control the injectors, and timing and stuff. You can only go so far with the stock ECU.

                    honestly dude, if you plan on keeping that motor in one peice, i would remove your turbo setup completely and do some reasearch here

                      ohh yeah that's right...i need a chiped ecu....what kind of ecu do i need.....but yeah...does this cause me to overheat....thanx for mentioning that part...but the weird thing is i don't bog.....sometimes my idle is rough.....but yeah.....how do i bleed the cooling system....

                            Do a compression test, because that could be a blown head gasket, also check or change your termistat because it could posibly be stuck closed, do it while the motor is cold obviosuly, and it could be running to lean witch will make it hot, but I dont know if it would over heat alot.
