ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

i was looking at getting the f22b sohc vtec from a 94 -97 accord and was wondering if all the wiring would be just plug and play. and is their a difference in the 94-95 and the 96-97 engines. thanks

the 96-97 incorated a crank angle sensor by the oil pump assembly bhind the crank pulle and all that good stuf, you can still use the 96-97 motor, it would just all be a plug and play thing, they are obd2a....if not, get a f23 sohc vtec 98-00 accord, that would be nice, dont get the ulev model, get the one that just says vtec, but gotta be a f23....it is obd 2b but will still just plug and play!

f23 -- lil bit better yes. Good question though about plug n play. I'd think with either that or the f22 vtec you'd still need the right ECU to trigger the vtec? Who will clear this up?

just use a VAFC, to trigger your vtec, that'll work "in theory" right?

you can put in a 98+ f23, with 94-95 intake manifolds and sensor, and 94-95 P0A vtec ecu keeping everything obd1 but you still need to add a couple wires to your harness for vtec.

if put in a 94-95 f22b1 w/ the P0A ecu everything will bolt right up you just gotta run wiring for vtec.

Yeah I wouldn't waste my time putting in the F22B1. The F23 VTEC is a much better choice if you really like staying SOHC.
                  I'd personally get a F22B DOHC but that's me.

i dunno wut you talking bout h22a go for cheap. cuz h22a in miami is 2,200 dollars with everything. and 500 extra for labor installation. so i wouldnt call that cheap. that's about more than the bluebook for my car i think.

obd2 dizzy will need some wiring, I belive. and the 5th gen vtecs had an internal coil, but im unsure about the 6th gen vtec. If you have to change you will need to modify the coil wires. I think I heard somewhere that the distributor you already have could be put onto the f23.
