Anyone had any luck with the generic ebay coilovers? I'm thinking about getting some since they're so cheap and I'm only wanting a 1" drop.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I'll answer your question for ya bc you're probably like me and don't have all day to sit on here and search through the 10 million threads to find your answer, like some people do.
Anyways, don't buy them, they're junk. A friend of mine bought a pair for $30 for his integra and they ended up breaking on him in less than three months. The collars on them are shit. Spend the extra $75 and buy a set of brand name springs like skunk2 or neuspeed. They make lowering spring kits that only give you a minimal drop if that's what you want. If you keep your eye out, you could even find a set of used ones for like $50. Thats what I did.

it dont make any difference compare to the cheap0 coilover than those namebrand. what u should really get is shocks. make sure they good and can keep ur car steady. but as for springs i never boought one but a my ex biatch did... she wanted to lift it and i was her man for like a week want me to do some hell work for her car. i wasnt doing anything that day but when i lift her car up there wasnt any coilover but springs. they cant be adjusted it barely bounce but stays one size. if u wanna lower it or raise it.. u basically fucked.

Do you bother reading the rules of this forum?Originally posted by CustomLowzPlease search... This topic is covered on a daily basis.
Your suspension is important not only for looks and performance, but for your safety. At best, cheap coilovers will leave you with poor traction and lots of wheel hop, because they don't properly plant the wheels on the ground. At worst, they will break, causing you to lose control.
If you can't afford to do it right, you can't afford to do it at all. Don't risk it. Spend the $100-$200 on some good springs, or save up for a REAL set of coilovers... Tein Basics are decent street coilovers, and they sell new for $750. You may be able to pick some up used for considerably less (remember, you can use a set from any Accord from 1990 to 1997).
