ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    a/c delete?

i was wondering if anyone has done this and if so when i remove the compressor what size belt will i need for the alt. thanks

    #2
If you have removed the compressor to the a/c system then you've shorten the overall length of the V-drive belt, so all you will need is just the basic model V-drive belt from a 90-93 Accord LX w/ no a/c belt or just ask the parts guy for a drive v-belt from anyone of a 90-93 accord w/ no a/c.

    Hope this helps.

You prob will feel a lil more rev happy. I know you will lose up to 80lbs if you take out the WHOLE AC system which you will be able to feel.

When i was stationed on Japan, the summers were crazy hot and very humid. Everytime i went out, i was sweeting bullets and had to carry at least a 1liter bottle of water. I was driving an 1985 hachiroku at the time and the car did have a functional a/c but i was all about performance and decided to rip the whole thing out including power steering. I probably saved at least 40lbs, and the tired little 4age actually woke up. But on those hot ass days and especially if I had a female passenger, it was miserable w/no a/c. When it rains and your windows start fogging up, you really have no way to defrost your windows other than rolling your windows down and getting yourself soaked. Oh the misery. Just something to think about before you delete your a/c.

i dont know but from my understanding the a/c has a clutch, so unless u turn a/c ON it really makes no diff on power(ofcource thats one extra pulley and longer belt) but power gain loss would be minimal, now weight is the thing ull be saving 80 punds sounds like a good loss that will make a diff u can feel.

Not my fault my dick only fits magnums.

Some one please correct me, but I thought that if you take your whole ac system, you could still run air from the engine to the vents to defog the car, because I would just adjust the hot/cold switch on my console without turning the fan on and it would defog my car. The only reason why I'm asking is because I was interested in removing my a/c but is it really a pain to live without it?I live in socal and the temp is almost the same all year around, and it doesn't rain to much so would it be more feasable for me to remove my a/c?Thanks in advance

                        1. Depends on where you live
                        2. You referring to the blower motor circulating air into the cabin
                        3. If you can bear the temperatures then yea I would say go for it and take it out.
