ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Squeaking noise in front suspension

i recently went to peddars and got the suspension safety check and said i was hearing noises whenever i went over bumps and they said my bushes were worn and i have to replace them and that it was causing the squeking noise whenever i went over a bump, i got the bushes replaced today but i tested them by going over bumps and it still makes the noise, does anyone have any ideas of what the problem is?

also whenever i try to change gears really quick and accelerate going from 1st to 2nd the car shudders and takes a second to go, are these signs of my clutch being worn? cos it seems like it has trouble 'gripping' the gear, the mechanic also said that replacing the bushes would stop this...any ideas?
    thanks Trini

I regards to the squeaking, I had the same problem so I removed the wheel and WD40'd the hell out of everything. Squeak is gone, hopefully its not unsafe.

Ball joints, bushings, strut mounts, motor mounts. Anything that has rubber basically and is under more load when you hit a bump.

Check the lower and upper ball joints

first of all, make sure ur ball joints r safe, if one of those breaks its not pretty...

my car makes the same noise (more like a creeking sound?) and as far as i can tell its because i just did my ball joints but i bought somewhat crappy ones so thats wut i get for cheaping out lol...

try wd40 like vinbon said, that seemed to solve the problem for about a week for me, just been too lazy to go out and redo it

does the clutch slip like that on start off? lol my car ALSO does that and im thinkin i need a new clutch but its a "new" used jdm tranny =(

i have noooo idea how replacing bushings would help with the clutch issue as ur mech said, sounds like bs to me but i dunno.... gl

last time i heard squeaking noises, it was my lower ball joint.
that was'nt very fun to change. lower b-joints are $20 at murrays lifetime warranty $100. upper b-loints wit control arm..my whole front suspension lifetime warranty from murrays
