ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Bad weather.

How do i show the love my cb7 deserves in cold iced up, snowy, weather?
Do i need to use any special fluids?
How long do i let it warm up before i drive?
Should i even let it warm up?

Any advice will help. The nwa has been hit early with bad weather and this is my first year owning a cb7. I want to take care of it.

    Thanks

Letting the car warm up is always a good idea. Just make sure all fluids are fresh and clean. Keep the car clean, to avoid the rust too.

Make sure you tires are good, get some lock de-icer...because both driver and passenger side locks were froze on mine this morning. Did it to the other CB7 to Let it warm up, the length depends on how cold it is out. ALL vehicles need to be warmd up, it hurts them if you don't and it'll drive like crap.

        1. throw an old blanket on your car before or moments after it begins to snow, so you dont have any ice build up in the morning...
        2. check your battery, cold starts can be a pain
        3. hope the wires are not sticking out of the tires, but it'll be fine if your a good driver

my cb in colorado last week - with worn tires (wires) in the rear - fresh alignment

Not trying to steal this thread or anything but is it true that if you cover a car in a Tarp before an ice storm, when you go to take it off it is possible the paint will come up with the tarp? I have heard that from a few different people. My dad always covers his car before it ices over and has never had any trouble. Didnt know if he was just getting lucky or if that theory is just a myth.. LMK.

how did u not get it to work right? im confused......

have a clean window. apply rainx to a clean cloth/microfiber towel rub on the window until u get a haze. turn cloth over to a clean/dry area and rub until haze is gone.

^^ thats off the top of my head^^ may be a little off. LOL but its that easy. not much you can mess up

Buffing you car before the first snow i heard is a good idea, also if you just buff the windshield the wax will work just like rainx.

It is better to go 10MPH knowing you have traction than to go 50MPH not knowing you have traction.
