ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Disc Brakes on the rear

I was at my favorite place today for a few hours, the local junkyard, and found a 93 CB7 with some mild front end damage. So mild that I have purchased the A6 motor and auto tranny for $400 together and they are pulling it for me...anyway, I noticed that it has disc brakes on the rear. I know that disc brakes have greater stopping power than drum so I said to myself....Self, how do you get disc brakes from the wrecked CB7 to your CB7? I then answered myself, I have no idea so I will post a thread on CB7Tuner. Any suggestions how I can get the rear disc brakes from a 93 to my 91?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link. I will be getting back to the junkyard and have them pull the rear brakes as well.

Make sure they don't cut the e-brake cables. You need them complete as they are different than the drum brake ones.

And if you want to use the stock rear sway bar, you'll need the rear crossmember too.

i love the rear sway bar, it makes the rear end feel solid.

My 91 EX has a rear sway bar on it. I still need to get the crossmember from the donor?

Doesn't the EX already have rear discs?

my 1990 EX doesn't........I didn't think any CB7 came stock with it, but maybe in the 92 - 93 variation it became available as an option......but no one in my area has stock rear discs....they all converted.
