ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    delta cams?

I've searched the forum for information on delta cams, but I'm stuck between getting a 260 or 272 re-grind, or just throwing in an A6 cam.

    Here's my current setup:

    92 accord Lx
    f22a1
Obx Header, aftermarket cat, stock after the cat
    h23 intake manifold
    Short Ram intake
    pt6 (on the way)

How many ponies would I get from a: 272, 260, or just the a6 cam?

    Is the 272 too aggressive?

    Thanks,
    Dave

You should get a p06 if you want any cam regrinds. 260 should be fine with the stock ecu maybe not sure but 272 a p06 would be nice to have.

well i read through the forums many many times and to simplify it for you...
      for the auto defintely 260
for the manual either is fine, but 272 would be ideal, although setting idle could be a bitch
      Yeah, Preludes

        Ok,

        For starters could I run the 272 on a pt6 until i got a hold of a chipped p06?

It's starting to sound like the 260 is the "safe" cam... but 272 would be quicker.

What about smog issues? Would I pass with the 260 or 272 on a pt6?

As for the chipped p06, how hard are these to get? How do I make sure it is chipped for my setup?

        Thanks Again

P06 is popular as hell 92-95lx civic ecu. Hondafan81 has experience with the 272 and quite a bit of others but hondafan81 is the first that pops into mind. The chipped p06 can help you out a bit on smog by playing with the map a lil and help you out on performance. Should be able to but dunno how well it would run on the pt6 ecu.

i have run the 272 on the stock ecu and there were gain for sure it just ran a little rich the 282 is to aggressive for the stock ecu or for the street for that matter, and you will need a cam gear to really feel any benefit and set the cam gear @ -4* retarded to get the bottom end back

              Ok, so I can run a 272 on a pt6, thx.

Nail... How do you chip an ecu? I'm very experienced with computers, but have no idea about working with ecu's.
