Engine type

Hi, I know this my be a dump question but here goes. When they say BB4 is that the same engine as H22a. I was looking for aftermarket parts and it said that so wasn't sure. Any help

are you looking for h22a1 parts? the h22a1 is similiar to the h22a except that is has 10 less hp than the h22a so the parts should work.

no a bb4 is a 92-96 prelude like cb7 is a 90-93 accord

H22A's came in BB4's.

generally letter-letter-number is a chassis code, where letter-two digit number-letter is an engine code.

H22A BB4
F22A CB7

So I would be safe to get that part when it say that if I'm understanding your answer. I having got the engine yet still waiting for it to get to my house but it a H22a 200hp. Thanks

BB4 (4th gen) Preludes came with 3 motors in the US. F22A1 (135hp, I believe... pretty much the same motor we have stock), H23A (160hp non-vtec), and the H22A1 (190hp vtec).

So, what is the h22a4 or is this what I have since it have 200hp. i don't mean to be all dump but I'm trying to get this down.
