ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    F22a1 Cam Regrind Question

Ok so I have an F22a1 with I/H/E and some other little things. My dad knows a guy that knows a guy that can get me a "cheap" cam regrind from delta cams. I told him what I had and he told me he would get me the most cam I can get with out springs, retainers, and what not. I'm also planning on doing a mild portnpolish. What kind of power gains can I expect? Thanks.

about 80-100 hp lol jk......seriously probably 15-20 whp is my guess that is if you get the 272 regrind!

your out of your mind. there is no way that a regrind only adds 5-7 hp. look at hondafan81. with I/H/E, a h23 im, p+p head, and the 272 regrind he is making 155 whp on a dynapack. that would be what on a dyno jet? around 165-170 right?

Na, he said 5-7 Whp not at the fly. At the flywheel I was thinking atleast 20 horsepower.

wouldnt swappin t a f22a6 cam be cheaper than a regrind and just a lil less power?

You will see a higher compression w/ aftermarket cams or reginded cams which does resulting in hp,,,,, But not 5-7 your crazy......

crazy? think about it he didn't say he had a new manifold, or port and polish the head. 15-20whp is alot from just putting a cam. i can see this with a new ECU, PP, and and a bigger mani.

The whole idea of a car going fast is to bring air in and push it out a fast as possible rite,, well same thing w/ the head,,, so with cams like that it wiil allow more air in the head faster and also released faster with the intake and exuast valves opening quicker..... You also forgot that part of doing cams is you still have to adjust your valve and springs or get just get aftermarket ones,,, there for resulting in possible port&polish cause everthing is already take apart..... I see more than just 5 hp after all complete with this project and the mods he already has .......

maby only 5-7 whp if he runs on the stock ecu, but I was under the impression that he is going to get it tuned, tuned Im going to say at least 15 whp.

I hope you arent saying that cams raise static compression. Cams dont change static compression, at all.

Na, price isn't the big deal. I'm getting it for "cheap" as in free. I know alot of people and they know alot of people. Plus delta cam is just down the street. So I probly can expect 15-20 WHEEL horsepower with pnp, and a dyno tune? How much horsepower would I expect from the flywheel then?
                          Thanks.

Sorry for the double post, but when you talk about getting an ecu, what options do I have??
                            Thanks.
