ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Calling All Ecu Tuners

i bought a P06 ecu and tried the DIY Chrome basemap for an F226 engine...created about 10 different basemap and everytime i burn the chip and connect the ecu up to my car...another dissappointment after another...the check engine light stays lit and i can only rev the car up to 4500 RPMs...

im using free Chrome software...27c512 chips...and the LS map...i have disable most sensors and such...but same problem occurs...

my car mods are: K&N intake...4-2-1 headers, highflow cat, 2.25 pipe, and cherry bomb muffler...full MSD setup w/ SCI-ingnition...

    i was wondering if someone:
    1. can give me suggestions
    2. give me a basemap for a f226 engine
    yada yada yada...

    HELP ME!!!!!!!! THANKS

yes, it does. The burner has to have the ability to specifically program the 27c chips you are using.

Another thing...why are you using 27c chips? They're only UV eraseable. Get yourself a SST chip from moates.net if your burner is compatible with it.

who'd you buy the ecu from?

could be a bad soldering job.

k, don't know how ur burner sets itself up but make sure u have that specific chip selected if you can. Come back with results, and yes it could also be a bad solder job or just incomplete.

And please shrink ur sig down to the approved dimensions or i'll have to politely delete it

i bought it off of ebay...it was a stock ecu...i've mod the ecu myself...chances are..that the ecu is soldered ok...cuz i tried B16 basemap on a EG hatch civic with a P28 ecu and the same problem occurs...i think it could be the chips or the burner...

make sure you have the software updated and you are erasing and verifying the chips.

also, if you have the willems, make sure you have the correct dip switch settings thingy.

mrx can help you out more with that. i hate the damn willems.

i never even tried the willem with the SST chips, there were 2 different dip switch settings to just burn and erase it...so i bought me a moates instead lol.

haha, i hate the damn willems. I tried using phatdoughnuts once, it took me like an hour to figure it out

make sure that the rom editor window you are using is closed. nothing should be open except the program you are using to burn.

also, make sure you have the chip installed correctly. on the burner and ecu.
