My car started to fall under idle wen i braked or reved the car in neutral. I searched other post on how to fix this problem and one thing said was to clean the fitv as well as the iac valve. I cleaned both valves and as i started my car and it started cold between 1000 and 1500rpms (lower than usual because at cold it would idle at 2k then slow down gradually as the car warms up). My intake manifold started to smoke a bit but went away after a while probably because of the extra carb cleaner buring off.
when i revved th car when warm, the as it goes down, the engine would hesitate as its about to shut off and on 2 occassions as i was revving it, it shut off in the driveway. How do i fix this problem and keep my car from hesitating or even shutting off on me. a friend told me it could be vacuum leak, how do i go about checking that
