ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

it hasn't caused any problems to my engine...YET!

it actually runs better...but looking at this link or website you provided..it does make me think if there is a "PATCH" for minor issues until you can tally up the funds to repair it!

Oh well guess I'll just have to FLUSH out my engine when its time for an oil change and just use STRAIGHT Royal purple ..and fix the valve seals in my engine!!

I dont like running additives for that specific reason as someone posted the bobistheoilguy site. Its still on there because people dunno and dont see these tests. They just believe the commercials plus the lil spinny deal they have at auto parts stores you can turn it as fast as its going to be turnin in the engine. Plus thicker oil is not always better you have to keep in mind the Honda oil pickup and oil galleys are only a certain width. You put too thick of oil in there it wont run as efficient. So yea its your choice to run lucas. I wouldnt do it on an h22a. As long as you keep the seals and such maintained you should be fine and keep up with your oil changes with a good filter.

Yeah, there are a lot of snake oils out there. When I did my last oil change, my engine was filthy even after I changed the oil because I had used greased lighting prior. Lucas fuel treatment is goodstuff though. Kenny, use this stuff called "restore".

Its restores lost compression from pitted cylinder walls and bad valve seals. Its only temporary though(for valve seals). Its actually been proven to work by outside sources.Like bob the oil guy says, today's oils already have all the additives you will ever need. You just need to stay top of your routine oil changes.

first off lucal oil stabalizer is not bad in honda motors, i use it after my oil changes. ur not supposed to use the whole bottle, ur supposed 2 use a quarter to half bottle per oil change. Its best used to restore engine performance because i have sticky valves and it works wonders with helping it. its something like engine restorer but it can be used in ur car long term. I dont think its bad to use, i still use it and me as well as many mechanics i kno would recommend it. i was actually told 2 use it by a mechanic

anything thick in a honda doesnt sit well with me though, even the tranny fluid is thinner than other cars. I say used what the manual says.

If we're talking about doing good for the engine why not use seafoam instead?

True i see what you guys are saying, but the way you are supposed to add the this thick syrup additive is to mix it with 1/5 ratio oil, and that does break it down alot, almost to like 20w oil. I was just trying to see personal experience. After I added a little bit, my cam seals stopped leaking, so i was curious.

Seafoam is bad stuff. I would never recomend it to anyone. It does break Carbon deposits up, but I have seen way to many valve jobs at the shop after people have used the stuff, from stuck valves.

I use the Lucas fuel system treatment, the car seems to run better when its in the tank, and i get a few more km out of it as well

                          Hey oozingmachismo2,

Does that artical suggest that you use gear oil instead of lucas oil? Can you even use gear oil with motor oil, I don't know if gear oil has additives that can ruin engine seals.

I have use seafoam by running it through the engine by vacuum lines and it blew allot shit out, never really had a problem with that though.

I have never used their fuel treatment.

no,gear oil is wat too thick. Basically the article says oil additives are useless.
You oil that you buy from the parts store has alll the additives you will need.
