Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    help!!!!

    my car (91 honda accord) is acting up and im hoping you guys can help.

    when i start the car it starts fine but the lock cylinder seems to "lock" up and its real hard to turn the car off

    secondly whenever i push the clutch in it sounds like the starter is winding up and sometimes makes a awful sound kinda like when you go to start your car when its already running...

    third the brake light is on like the e brake is activated

    and none of my heater controls or defrost controls work

    can anyone help...it would be greatly appreciated.

    P.S. i had it lowered like a week ago if that makes any difference.

    For the brake light showing its always on. Underneath the consol in the middle ther is just a little button that gets pushed down by the handle when the handle is pushed down... maybe this button is stuck up, thus showing the brake as on. Maybe jus take off your consol and take a look for a little plastic button with awire next to the e-brake.

      Clutch noise could be the result of a bad master or slave cylinder. Seems from your description like a partial engagement.

      Heater and defrost controls, check the fuses. Then the relays. Then the wiring and heater unit.

      As for the lock cylinder, you may need to have that replaced... I once had a car with 2 keys for that very reason.


      Sounds like you have a number of VERY annoying (and somewhat uncommon) problems... good luck!

        it is infact the lock cylinder im having to push in on it to return it to the "on" position
        who needs a cherry picker??
