ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Another Seafoam Question

I'm about to do an oil change and I don't have the time right now to go to a parking lot and put the foam through my brake booster, and I don't have a full tank of gas to put it in there either. Is it fine to do the three stages at different times? What I'm asking is, is it okay to just put 1/3 seafoam in my crankase for a few minutes then change the oil and skip the other steps for another day? Will my car smoke at all from the foam in the crankcase? Thanks!

I just put mine into the vacuum hose wit a funnel. but no it shouldnt matter, either way your puttin the shit it, why you going to a parking lot to do it?

id reccomend doin the crank case and vaccum line at the same time, casue the foam break off the deposits and it get dumped to the oil......so, u shpuld do at least those 2, then the oil change..

It doesn't matter when. I never done it un a full tank and I always dumped the whole can in it. Don't beleive everything you read on forums. Try it yourself, you may learn something.

If you don't believe that Seafoam works....hopefully you have a garage (white door preferably), and if not...find someone closeby. Seafoam it (1/2 can in the brak booster), then drive for about 10-15 minutes. Then, park the car in the garage. Next morning, leave the door shut, and start your car up. Make sure you clean the door off before the person that let you borrow the garage, or your parents find out there's black gunk all over their door. That black gunk, would be carbon. But you gotta think, that shit was in your engine. Seafoam. <3

Seafoam is shit... not the shit, its pure shit. Its ok to use in the crankcase, but Via fuel tank, or booster line, i highly recommend you dont use it. From personal experience only however. I fouled my plugs, i had to get new plugs, a new VC gasket, and now, i need about 4 more other seals. Since i started using Seafoam, its givin me nothing but problems. after i stoped using it, everything seems to be running fine again.

Check if your plugs have a purple tint... If they do, thats from seafoam.

It may clean out some of the carbon, but it its a really harsh additive. Dont quote me on this, but when my buddy had it in his Denali Tahoe, he put in a full tank, and 1 can of it, he burned it to the bottom of the tank, by that time, he had to replace his injectors, and O rings, and the intake manifold gasket. That stuff is really harsh. I'll never use it again.
