ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Why are you doing this swap? It's a 20hp gain, and a MUCH more expensive engine! Are you getting a great deal?

Anyway, the Euro R is OBD2, so you'll need to wire properly... not a major deal, but an extra step. cp[mike] and h22sparkle should both know quite well how to do that.

I don't understand what you're saying about the intake manifold... it is different than the regular H22 one, as it has single runners, better flow, and a different throttle body (which must be used). The throttle body has no idle adjustment, which kinda sucks.
If the motor you're getting doesn't have an intake manifold, the regular H22 one will work... but it isn't as good as the Euro R one... that will make the Euro R just that much closer in power to the regular H22!

I personally wouldn't spend the money. It's cool, but for the extra cost of the Euro R, unless you're getting it dirt cheap, you could do some major mods to the H22. If the Euro R costs $1000 more than the regular H22, you could spend that money on cams and a valvetrain upgrade and make more power. Just my thoughts.

Additionally, if you want to sell that H22 in a little while, let me know! I might be looking for one...

There is some wiring that you will need to add/eliminate, depends on what ECU your going to run etc etc. I have a euro r in my accord, running the stock 2000 spec euro R ecu, and hands down this motor is impressive. My friend has a regular h22A civic which he spent 3 grand on a head package which consisted of Jun 3 cams, port and polished head, and flat top valves, and he put down 205 whp with a greddy header, i put down 193 whp stock with a dc header, vafc and fpr. The thing with the regular h, if you want a real cam in there, you kind of want to have a little higher compression. Yeah alot of people say, for 20 hp why would you spend 1500 dollars more, but its not just the motor its the tranny as well. I think CPMike will agree with me on it being the closest geared tranny for the H. I had 2 regular h series motors and the Euro R in my ride, one which blew up, the second was a temp smog motor, and lastly the euro r motor. It is a night and day difference by far. I got a Edelbrock ITR throttle body and my car runs idles fine, passes smog and is sleeper status.
