ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

pick and pulls would be your best bet if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg.

actually i think i have both solenoids in my garage. i was having tranny problems also and bought two used ones off of a guy on here. i never installed them on my car so they are just sitting in a ziplock bag.

        park-brake shift solenoid INTERLOCK

hey man, mine fucked up, too.

I just used a key for the longest time and pushed down the button every time to shift.

Now, i recently grabbed a solenoid from the wrecker's and took the whole deal apart in my car, put in the solenoid to test and it still wouldnt work ...

so, i just removed the whole interlock system. Now my car is just shift, with or without the brake pedal.

        easy peasy

yer solenoid looks like one of these, right?

yer gonna make a mess outta yer car taking plastic out of the way to get to the solenoid...when u removet he e-brake cover, use a stubby phillips screwdriver to remove the screws UNDERNEATH that fasten it to the middle console

i used a drill to put a hole in the plastic nib that actually prevents the shift without yer foot on the brake. Disconnect the solenoid and throw it away.

hold that plastic piece into the metal frame with a sheet metal screw....DONE

not sure how fast you need them but gimmie 5 bucks for the shipping and you can have them.

otherwise try salvage yards or pick and pulls. usually the pick and pull has way cheaper prices. oh yeah bring tools.

i live in georgia and there isn't a pick and pull. we got a pull a part but ive checked already. could i possibly clean the solenoid and see if it would work or would it not be worth it?

i'm not sure. that's what i did right before i just parked the car .

i took the solenoids off and cleaned it with brake cleaner and let them dry for several hours before reinstalling them. i made sure the little screen on it wasn't clogged with crapola but becareful of that rubber gasket that goes around the bottom side.

i just took out the shift solenoid and cleaned it and put it back in a few hours later and now it takes off in what seems as 4th gear. i can floor it and it wont hardly move now. i have to drop it down in 2nd and go.its worse now so im guessing the solenoid is gone. i just purchased a new one off of rockauto.com for $120. wish me luck. could the main relay have something to do with the d4 light and not shifting gears properly? i replaced the tcu and its very rarely takes a while to start, cold or hot weather. it never stalls or cuts off on me and runs like a sewing machine. oh and btw the only cel code im pulling is a "Shift control solenoid valve A"

I just used used, but I had the problem resurface about 3 times...

lol not much of a testament, but I think this last one I got is working

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
