im writing an essay for my human and environmental problems class and i would like sum input from people who actually know what stuff like deleting a cat do. emissions! emissions!

Deleting the Catalytic Converter makes for pushing the gases that the Cat converts.

those harmful gases that the cat blocks and converts...gets pushed into the atmosphere...NOT GOOD!


GOOD= may unlock some HP..NOT MUCH

BAD= pushing MORE harmful gases into the atmosphere from taking the catalytic converter off.

The definition of illegal depends on where you live. The negative effects to the environment are a different story.

Doing some research on the different pollutants (carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, etc) produced by cars and how catalytic converters actually work on reducing those pollutants may be a good start.

a 3 way cat converts 3 diff pollutions. cats include platinum cores. from i think it was 1979 if a car was made with cats taking them off was illegal. also the C.A.R.B. may need to be looked into. alright then peace and dont puncture or remove / hollow out your cat. If any thinks im soft for liking clean air and trying not to over heat our earth they can get their faces fucked for all I care. * if im sounding like an asshole I am 1. this issue pisses me off. i totally agree just save the planet and get yourself a bigger cat
thats why later down the line i plan to convert e85 good power and cleaner burning plus i like breathing LOL

you could also add a bluetec like system like mercedes that injects urea in the exhaust stream and reduces nox levels
but im sure its costly since its new tech

but i know your just asking what itll do the impact as a whole in your area is high maybe not to you but people with health problems and new babys plus old people are very sensitive to non clean air. so next time your thinking of deleting your cat look at your grandma and say to yourself do i what her breathing through a mask cuz i want 2hp
