Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    another MPG thread

i read the last one where poepls claimed to be getting 22-25 avg mpg so i decided to check myself on the next tank, (now my last tank) i drove till the light came on and then drove for 10 miles and filled it up costing somthing like 47 dollars and it put in 14.3 gallons, i then hit the trip and did my daily commute for the next 2 weeks, now i am just above/on E and i am at 415 miles, and by my math that makes my avg 29.02 mpg avg on 50 city 50 hwy and regular non agressive driving habbits. thought i would let everyone know, im pretty impressed, id imagin im getting like 35mpg hwy and 25 or so town. what the most anyone has gotten to a tank?>

yea i know thats what the EOA mpg's are rated at, which kinda makes me wonder but i put 14.3 gallons in and set my trip, unless its not working right then im getting a 29.02 mpg and its still going up because the light hasent come one and i filled it after driving 10 miles with the light on. so it might go up!

I drove 75-80mph on a road trip from AZ.

I averaged 400 mpt(about 23-24 mpg). At the start of the trip my engine had ~215k on it

IMO, 20-24 mpg is good for a 200k+, 15 yr old engine.

I filled up sunday night, and thus far ive gone 145 mi on just over 1/4 tank. Its mostly highway miles, though, but i have a lead foot

i just did an average and by my calculations, im getting about 25~27 mpg, and i do alot of stop and go on the freeway (los angeles 405). i was impressed.

yea.. the $40+ complete fillup does seem kinda "hurty", but i think im doing pretty good.

ill be taking a trip to arizona soon, ill see how straight highway on cruise control will do for me. will be doing a full tune up.. sparks, wires, oils, transmission, etc etc etc.. so we'll see.. not bad.. im impressed.

ps.. why is regular unleaded costing like 3.49 in los angeles?!?

pps... i use regular mixed with med/super ;-)

last week my car went on a 2000+ mile road trip, almost all highway miles. i have a 92ex sedan bone stock.

i have a yakima roof rack on my car and was running AC most of the time and got about 28mpg.

for the last 1000 miles of the trip we had the car loaded to the gills with stuff and 3 bikes of the roof and got 25mpg.

granted this trip was not for setting any time records. we took our time and got there safely.

the most ive ever seen out of my cb7 is 35mpgs with the lowest in the lower 20's.

we also learned on the trip that the gas light comes on with about 4 gallons left in the tank. sooooo that means you can go about 100 miles once the light first comes on. not bad eh? on this trip the light would come on after goin about 400 miles. we couldve gone almost 500 miles but gas stations were few and far between.

                      thats all for now.

                      **edit**

ps the gas gauge is not accurate in showing say "half a tank." or "empty"

The light should come on at 2 gallons.

wow im amazed at your numbers. I dont get anything close to taht. when i filled it up and drove about 25 miles, my needle would move from full to like 7/8 of tank left. so with calculations i got 200 mpg!! that car needed tune up though.
So 500 mgt wouldve been nice.
