ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    weird problem after installing SRI

I put in my ebay SRI yesterday, hooked the vacuum lines up just how they were, and now my car has a pretty bad shuddering problem at idle and low rpms. I quadruple checked the 2 vacuum lines comin off the intake pipe and they looked golden. Any ideas what I could have bumped? Also smells a little on the rich side... What is the silver valve on the drivers side of the IM that has the small vacuum line from the intake going to it?

I remember I had a similar problem when I installed a SRI for my first time when I was in the eighth grade. It turned out I damaged some of the vaccum lines that run out of the black box. So make sure you didn't do the same.

May not hurt to check and adjust (if needed) your engine idle speed.. Later

Ok i just recently found the culprit to mine, but it was harder because I didnt take the engine out and had no idea were anything went.IF looking at the motor fom the front and on the right side of the intake manifold there is a little valve i guess, it has a spring in it.With a single vacume line coming out of the top.I had capd it off, there should be a small vacume line running to the left of the mani.Dont clog this, i completely took it off and its running great, this was also the reason 2nd,3rd and 4th on my auto tranny wouldnt realy go.

One goes from tb to the lil black valve deal on the fender area. Just take all that off its useless HOWEVER follow that vac line and plug up the hole it went to.

I'd rather just see a nice picture or two of the setup. Its hard when I can't see it and he's not even sure what he's looking at. :P
