Hi, My 92 accord is killing me with the gas!!! Its $43 just to fill up and the full tank only gets me alittel over 100 miles of travel and thats with out punching the accelerator! I need to know what mods to do to my engine to save some gas and some money while im at it. does any one have any hints of tips??? Thanks!

what you can do is a major tune up thats what i did to my car clean the injector cleaned all the fuel lines and i but 91 octane gas for 2 day and after that it made a big difference on my cars gasComment

i still havent changed the spark plugs and wires, my fuel filter and pump have not been changed. maybe i should do that hmmmm. what about headers and test pipe??? will this help increase mpg?Comment

somethings seriously wrong with your car...that is extremely bad gas mile age...is it throwing any check engine lights?

sparkplugs, sparkplug wires,fuel filter, oil change, tranny fluid change, valve adjustment, pcv valve, bottle of fuel system cleaner, new air filter.Comment

Everyone alreayd mentioned sounds like a tune up is in order. Cleanin out teh EGR valve will help a bit too.

TUNE UP... idk but sounds liken u are beating the living !@#$ out of it.when i had the f22a1 i was getting 300+ miles.

i would say that there is something terribly wrong with your engine. i mean according to the number you gave us thats not even 6mpg. when i first got mine, which was in terrible condition i got 500 miles to the tank. im thinking that you have a CEL. but im not an expert or anything, so do whatever you want.

Hmmmm yeah I need to do a fully tune up. But the thing that puzels me is that I bout the car not to long ago from an old man witch was the first owner of the car and he kept a regular bases tune up on the car and every thing. The only thing I did to car when I got it was changed the air filter and oil.Comment
